Biography
Mike Garber is an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of Information Technology, marketing, consulting and general management experience largely in the Insurance/Financial Services Industry. He has notable experience leading groups of all sizes, composition and geographic dispersion (particularly with Global teams). Of those 30 years Mike has 11 years of specific experience in the Outsourcing space on both the Supply and Demand sides of the table.
Prior to Gullwing Consulting, Mike was the President of the Americas for Birlasoft, Inc. with sales, market development, P&L, administration and ultimate customer/executive relationship responsibility. (Birlasoft is a $160M Tier 2 outsourcer in the space)
From 2003-2007, Mike was Vice President and Business Unit Head for Cognizant Technology Solutions’ Insurance Practice with sales, practice development, P&L and executive relationship responsibility. (Cognizant is a several billion dollar Tier 1 provider)
Before Cognizant, he was responsible for building an Insurance/Financial Services Professional Services group for eFunds Corporation (at that time, an on-site/offshore ITO and BPO provider).
Mike has consulted at many of the top Insurance/Financial Services companies in the United States as well as Risk Management (Qantares) and Technology firms (Agens) in Europe. Notables include MetLife, New York Life, MassMutual, ING, and, American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise).
Prior to May 1998, Mike was a 2nd VP & Senior Officer at MassMutual Life Insurance enjoying a tenure of 20 years.
